Gene & Jerry Kindred - Owners & Trainers

Arizona residents for over 60 years, Gene and Jerry Kindred both earned their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from the University of Arizona. After long and successful careers as educators, they have since dedicated themselves to training sporting breeds as high-quality hunting companions.
With over 45 years of experience in field dog training, Gene and Jerry began as amateur competitors and rose to become nationally recognized trainers and handlers. Their passion for dogs and the sport is evident in the exceptional field champions they’ve developed throughout the years.
They have trained a wide range of pointing, flushing, and retrieving gun dogs, producing champions in both horseback and walking field trials. Their experience spans numerous competitive events hosted by organizations such as the National Shoot To Retrieve Association (NSTRA), the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA), the American Kennel Club (AKC), and American Field.
Gene also served on a governing board sponsored by NSTRA and Purina, focused on enhancing the quality of field dog competitions across North America. Both Gene and Jerry have also served as judges in various field tests and trials.
